Our client, a leading facilities management company providing comprehensive building services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior HVAC Installation and Maintenance Technician for their operations in Surat, Gujarat, IN . This role is essential for ensuring the optimal functioning and longevity of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across a diverse portfolio of commercial and industrial properties.
The Senior Technician will be responsible for the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of complex HVAC systems. This includes diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults, performing component replacements, conducting system checks, and ensuring all work complies with safety standards and building codes. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior technicians, providing on-the-job training, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality service. The ability to troubleshoot intricate issues and work independently on-site is crucial for success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, chillers, and ventilation units.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC equipment using appropriate testing instruments.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure peak performance and prevent breakdowns.
- Replace worn or defective parts such as compressors, motors, fans, and control systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide installations and repairs.
- Ensure all installations and repairs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
- Manage job sites, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior HVAC technicians.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
- Respond to emergency service calls and provide prompt, effective solutions.
- Educate clients on proper system operation and maintenance to enhance efficiency and reduce issues.
- Stay updated with the latest HVAC technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational training program or apprenticeship in HVAC is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an HVAC Technician, with a strong emphasis on installation and maintenance.
- Proven experience with a variety of HVAC systems, including commercial and industrial applications.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment, such as multimeters, manometers, and refrigerant gauges.
- Strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, air balancing, and control systems.
- Familiarity with relevant safety standards and codes (e.g., OSHA).
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
